Role Overview

The Delivery Director is responsible for leading large-scale delivery operations across multiple accounts, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, profitability, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. The role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in IT services delivery, people management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Management

Oversee end-to-end delivery across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, timelines, and budget.
Implement robust governance, delivery frameworks, and agile methodologies.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and tools.

2. Client Relationship Management

Act as the primary escalation point for key clients.
Build strong relationships with client executives, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
Identify opportunities for account growth and transformation initiatives.

3. Financial & Operational Excellence

Own P&L for assigned accounts or business units.
Track and report key delivery metrics (margin, utilization, quality, SLA adherence).
Optimize resource allocation, cost structures, and operational efficiency.

4. Leadership & People Management

Lead, mentor, and develop project delivery managers and teams.
Foster a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration.
Drive talent management, succession planning, and capability building.

5. Strategic Initiatives

Partner with business and technology leaders to drive digital transformation and automation initiatives.
Contribute to pre-sales, RFPs, and solutioning for new engagements.
Align delivery practices with organizational growth and client strategy.

Key Skills & Competencies

Proven track record of managing large delivery portfolios ($10M–$20M+).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Expertise in Agile / DevOps / ITIL frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Sound understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
15–25 years of IT services experience with at least 5 years in a senior delivery leadership role.
Experience working with global clients (US / Europe) across multiple industries.
PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe certifications preferred.
