Job Description

We are seeking an innovative Software Development Manager to join our International Emerging Stores (IES) Delivery Experience (DEX) organization, specifically leading the Returns Customer Experience (RCX) team focusing on Product Lifecycle Support and return policy governance. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of software solutions that enhance our product lifecycle management and streamline return policy governance across our emerging international markets. You will lead a team of talented engineers, collaborating closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable systems that support efficient return policy governance and PLS experience.

Candidate for this role will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership acumen. You should have a deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and the ability to guide implementation of complex solutions that can operate at Amazon's vast scale. Your technical prowess should be complemented by strong mentorship skills, as you'll be responsible for nurturing and developing engineering talent within your team. We're looking for someone who thrives in leading small, agile teams, demonstrating a hands-on approach and taking full ownership of product outcomes. - 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
