Your Role

As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, securing, and upgrading enterprise database systems across Oracle, Cassandra, and Redis platforms. You will work closely with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to ensure 24×7 availability and high performance.

In This Role, You Will:

Oracle Database Administration (Primary)

Work on Oracle versions 12c, 18c, 19c, and 21c.
Perform performance tuning including query optimization and instance tuning.
Upgrade Oracle DB from 12c → 19c and 19c → 21c.
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software (Clients, RAC 2‑node, standalone).
Manage and troubleshoot RAC (2 & 3-node) services.
Work with Active‑Passive and Active‑Active architectures (ASM, Veritas Cluster).
Design and maintain physical database structures.
Work on Unix, Linux, Windows, Solaris & AIX including OS‑level commands (top, sar, vmstat, etc.).
Manage table partitioning (Range, Hash) and implement partition pruning.
Work with local & global indexes, including benefits, limitations, and performance factors.
Administer heavy databases 100+ TB on Filesystem and ASM.
Add ASM disks, datafiles, tempfile management.
Implement backup & recovery strategies using RMAN (Level 0, 1, 2) and logical exports.
Perform restore scenarios including PITR, control file, and datafile restoration.
Maintain database security—user management, roles, and privileges.
Conduct application and database tuning, plan management, and plan fixing.
Provide 24×7 support, including weekend and shift-based work.
Work with constraints (PK, FK, Unique, etc.).
Create & manage MOS SR, perform TFA log analysis, troubleshoot cluster/ASM/listener issues.
Handle patch management for single-node and multi-node RAC setups.
Provide hands-on support for Oracle GoldenGate.

Cassandra (Secondary)

Support platform engineering in NoSQL database architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure 24×7 uptime for mission-critical applications.
Install, maintain, and upgrade Cassandra environments.
Write and maintain OS‑level scripts for database and application maintenance.
Support database consolidation and migration to new platforms or hardware.

Enterprise Redis (Secondary)

Manage and maintain Redis enterprise databases within architectural guidelines.
Support 24×7 availability for internal and external applications.
Install, upgrade, and optimize Redis environments.

Create and maintain OS‑level scripts for Redis and application lifecycle tasks
