About Team
Amazon India’s Consumer Insights, Planning, Analysis and Technology team (IPAT) provides a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon India. Our team provides strategic support to the India CFO and senior leadership on enterprise-wide planning, analysis & insights and reporting.
Role Description
We are looking for a highly analytical self-starter to join us as a Business Analyst (BA). The candidate will provide timely, relevant insights and will own the production and delivery of a suite of standard reports, tools regularly used by the organization to make key business decisions. This will involve:
1. Creating, supporting and continuously improving reports and metrics that support the business teams within the specified timelines
2.Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like Quick sight/Tableau
3.Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators on time by which our business will assess its performance. Eg. Topline, Daily sales Flash, P0
4. Diving deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
5.Working directly with WW teams to leverage on global tools (Eg. Fortune, TM1) to support India specific requirements and improvement for insights.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and driven to provide insightful and timely information to customers. The candidate should have good communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. The candidate should have a high bar on accuracy of the numbers as these are critical business metrics basis which decisions are taken by various teams. This candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify and work effectively with cross-functional teams and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The position represents an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and high paced environment and offers significant opportunities for growth.- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
