Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager on the Alexa India team, you'll spearhead the development and evolution of Alexa and Alexa+ experiences tailored for the Indian market. This pivotal role requires you to foster collaboration across diverse teams including Engineering, Product Management, Technical Program Management, and User Research. You'll be responsible for identifying market opportunities, defining product roadmaps, and translating customer insights into compelling features that drive adoption and engagement. Your strategic vision will shape Alexa's direction in one of its fastest-growing markets, as you work to build critical capabilities essential for success in India. This position demands a proven track record in product management for consumer-facing technologies, a strong grasp of AI/ML applications, and the ability to influence and drive results across global teams. As a key player in this dynamic space, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on millions of users while being at the forefront of AI innovation.

Key job responsibilities
This role cuts horizontally across many capabilities like speech, model performance, latency, partnerships with the goal of delivering a great Alexa experience for Indian customers/users.
Some key responsibilities include:
1. Launch planning for Alexa plus
2. Identify strategic initiatives spanning 1-3 years that will drive the growth for Alexa in India
3. Partner with language comprehension teams to blend India voice patterns into the voice model.
4. Partner with Alexa product/Engineering teams across multiple geos to build India tech innovation and localize global features for India.
5. Drive new feature launches and continuous improvements in collaboration with IN product, Analytics, Tech, Beta and other partner teams.
6. Partner with WW teams, set up mechanisms, frameworks to drive feature awareness for India.

A day in the life
As a Senior PM for Alexa India, you'll put customer needs at the forefront of decisions, lead without formal authority, navigate uncertainty and make decisions with limited information. You'll be expected to work effectively at all levels, from strategy to execution, simplify complex problems into actionable solutions.

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
