We are seeking a Software Development Manager to join our team. As a member of the team, you will be involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle, from collaborating with store operations teams and various stakeholders to devise scalable and adaptable in-store solutions, to implementing these designs in a manner that ensures reliability and maintainability. You will collaborate with global external teams, senior software development engineers, and principal engineers to tackle challenging business and design issues in the physical retail space. Successful candidates exhibit a passion for translating broad, ambiguous business objectives into robust software platforms that empower both store associates and customers. They demonstrate a proactive approach, consistently delivering solutions on time and possessing a strong team spirit. With a focus on efficiency, scalability, and customer-centric solutions, the In-store Experience team plays a strategic role in shaping the future of Amazon's physical grocery business- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
