About the role: The Digital Studios (DS) team handles digital content creation, Gen-AI operations, and post-production activities for Amazon product images to provide consistent imagery and enable customers with their buying decisions. We are continually innovating and setting new industry standards for showcasing millions of products across multiple global marketplaces. Design Manager will be responsible for managing Digital and Gen-AI Content Generation Specialist teams both globally and regionally.
We're looking for a proficient Design Manager who can understand technical challenges from both artistic and technological perspectives while working directly with all levels of content specialists and other stakeholders. The position requires proven ability to drive process improvements and keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating team members in an extremely deadline-driven environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead and manage global and regional Digital and Gen-AI Content Generation teams across Physical and Digital Studios
• Drive operational and business goals across multiple regions
• Optimize content creation processes for quality, scalability, and efficiency
• Drive data-oriented analysis and adoption of Gen-AI technologies
• Manage stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business
• Ensure high quality standards in hiring and team development
• Execute specific people programs on coaching and development
• Build robust teams of creative and technical talent globally- Bachelor's degree, or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant creative experience, including 3+ years leading creative teams
- Experience in managing Gen-AI content creation and digital production teams
- Strong understanding of Gen-AI technologies and digital content creation
- Experience in managing global teams across different time zones
- Experience in driving business/operations metrics
- Leadership skills with bias towards action
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions
- Experience communicating technical concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals
