Job Description

Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence protects customers from exposure to sensitive content and enhances their trust in Alexa across all languages, locales, devices, experiences, and modalities including image, text, video, and audio. Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence team leverages natural language understanding (Generative AI), machine learning, and big data to help Alexa identify sensitive content. We serve customers in Classic Alexa and LLM based environment with tier-1 services and tools that enable customers to have a fun, engaging conversational experience with Alexa. We are a highly collaborative, fast moving, and fun team that uses cutting edge technologies for real time customer experience enhancement. We are looking for a self-driven and inspired Software Development Engineer who can work across the business domains and build sensitivity detection solutions.

Key job responsibilities
- Own feature enhancements end to end, collaborate with product and science , design, develop and launch in production.
- Participate in design reviews/code reviews and contribute to the teams deliverables
- A Software Development Engineer in Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence will develop the design for complex, cross functional, multimodal and multi locale applications. The engineer in this role will be the owner of the technical areas supporting Generative AI Large Language Model (LLM) based services and customer facing applications. An Software Development Engineer will be forging alliance with upstream and downstream engineering teams to deliver the services and create mechanisms for end-to-end integration. You will build low-latency services that are optimized for performance to meet the classic Alexa and LLM based customer interaction expectations.
- An Software Development Engineer in Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence will own full stack software development and contribute to all aspects of an agile software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing and operations. You will work with Scientists, Engineers and Product managers and influence the design of the customer facing features and products. The Software Development Engineer will implement the service and features that will impact experience of customers across all modalities and functions.

About the team
Our vision is to obsess over customers by listening to all incoming feedbacks (implicit and explicit) across all channels (e.g., customer support, on-device, web, mobile app, social media), Devices (e.g., Banyan, FireTV, Ring) and addressing 100% of critical trustbusting interactions in near real-time (including time-bound Andon Cord). We aim to provide signals to product teams to continuously improve our customer experiences. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
