We're building a brand-new, from-the-ground-up initiative in the fast-growing world of Quick Commerce, and we're looking for a passionate, driven Software Development Manager (SDM) to help lead the way on our Supply Chain team.

This is a true Greenfield opportunity where we're creating an entirely new supply chain infrastructure that reimagines how products flow from source to customer - all within minutes. Our charter spans the entire supply chain execution: seamless hub operations, best-in-class inventory management, and delightful vendor experiences.

You'll be joining a tight-knit, high-caliber team of Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, and TPMs who are energized by solving supply chain problems at scale. You'll have end-to-end ownership, deep technical challenges, and a rare opportunity to shape not just a product, but an entirely new business for Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
Own building Amazon's first ground-up supply chain tech capabilities and products for Quick Commerce
Lead the definition and execution of strategic projects aimed at building best-in-class supply chain operations including inventory management and vendor experiences
Drive end-to-end ownership of cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap/resource planning and project execution
Work closely with product, business, operations, and category leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the product and build vision for supply chain capabilities
Be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical technical initiatives, from building the vision and requirements definition to designing solutions with Amazon-first innovation and delivering high-quality scalable tech capabilities
Deliver through exceptional engineers and work closely with technical program managers and principal engineers while hiring and developing a world-class engineering team
Champion diversity and inclusion in your team and organization as an enthusiastic, motivated, curious, empathetic, and reliable team member
Provide leadership and innovation in the design and implementation of services to enable new supply chain products and capabilities
Establish strong project management processes, standards and guidelines in the execution of high velocity and high impact deliveries
Champion operational excellence and engineering best practices in the team, exemplifying scalable product development lifecycle practices

About the team
We are fast-paced and focussed team made of passionate and ambitious Amazonians who strive to build industry leading products while closely collaborating and having fun. The team is made of Amazon veterans and are working on first time in Amazon initiatives which will scale beyond India and grocery. The team follows a flexible and collaborative work culture with ample mentoring and guidance from senior leaders. The team values high ownership, bias for action and insist on highest standards and follows build fast and iterate fast methodology. The team is suitable for passionate leaders who are equally interested in contributing to business and product roadmap while leading a high performing and high velocity team.- 6+ years of engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering team management experience
- 6+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
