The candidate will be working to shape the product, innovate on behalf of customers and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact our business. You will work with highly talented engineers to evolve the design and implementation of the products owned by this team and responsible for setting up and holding a high-quality bar in a highly technical team of Software Engineers. To execute on this vision, Amazon India Rewards team is systematically investing and building product innovation in areas of instant bank discount, No Cost EMI and Exchange Discount . During large promotional events like Diwali, these are the key customer levers to drive shoppers to Amazon. As a result, Amazon Pay has grown rapidly. It has enabled over 5 million neighbourhood stores. It’s revenue grew over 64 per cent to Rs 1,370 crore over Rs 834.5 crore in fiscal 2019. You work will have a deep impact on how millions of customers shop on Amazon. Amazon Pay Rewards was launched in Mar 2019. In less than three years, we had major positive impact on customer acquisition, engagement and retention strategy for Amazon India. Customers love the rewards that we offer and our product is used by tens of millions of users in India. This roles allows you to work on product and services that are closely connected to customers and you will have the opportunity to be both the customers and the builder. Your role As a developer in this team you will work with highly talented team of engineers, managers, product owners and designers to build and improve customer facing features like Instant Bank Discount, No Cost EMI and Exchange Discount. Our engineers own the rewards experience and work on a wide range of technologies (including Lambda, ECS, EDP, SQS, Dynamo DB, Slapshot, Herd, Horizonte etc.) and build and operate highly scalable, low latency mobile first products and services. You will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of the rewards platform. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, influence product requirements, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards. Apart of technical challenges, you will also get a chance to work on mathematical, economic and gamification models to engage more customers in an economically sustainable way.

Key job responsibilities
1. Own writing and maintaining comprehensive test strategy/plans, test cases and execute the same to assure quality of ShipTech software releases
2. Work closely with SDEs, Product Managers, TPMs, QAEs, SDETs, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of quality throughout the development lifecycle.
3. Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design to design and debug/maintain test automation scripts.
4. Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for various software components, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing
5. Perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis, correctly log defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams so they can address issues.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly and analytically, problem solving, scope business requirements, and prioritize work on projects.
7. Actively participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements to enhance overall product quality.- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience with UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)
