Job Description

Drive the design and deployment of advanced AI/ML systems to embed Generative AI into core Google search functionalities.
Design innovative and scalable user interaction solutions for integrating generative AI models into the search interface.
Partner with experienced engineers, AI/ML researchers, and product managers to transform ambitious product goals into impactful, tangible features.
Solve technical issues in large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) model deployment, improve performance, and maintain a seamless user experience. Lead technical direction and best practices within the team, support junior engineers and promote a culture of innovation.
Apply and implement advanced AI/ML techniques and frameworks to strengthen AI mode. Ensure high reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AI-driven features at Google's large-scale infrastructure.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (e.g., language modeling, computer vision).
5 years of experience leading the Machine Learning (ML) design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience in software development.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a structured, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
