About Us:
Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building File Storage Service that operates at high-scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class file storage capabilities in conjunction with other compute, storage, networking, database, security offerings.
We’re looking for hands-on engineers with a passion for solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly-available services. If this is you, at Oracle you can design and build innovative new systems from the ground up and operate services at scale. Engineers at every level can have significant technical and business impact while delivering critical enterprise level features.

Basic Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Java, Go or Python.
10+ years experience developing commercial software in a distributed environment.
Understanding of software systems analysis and design, and software development life cycle.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Understanding of databases, storage and persistent technologies.
Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders towards achieving success of the task at hand.

Optional skills: Knowledge of storage concepts and file systems.

Education: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields with experience of 10+ years in the functional area.
