Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities and SME fields include, but are not limited to:
Operations and Maintenance:
· Ownership of all Data Center changes/events/incidents/problems from beginning to end as well as overseeing the completion of investigation, root cause analysis and follow-up resolution actions.
· Responsible for ensuring maintenance/ repairs of a Data Center (Electrical/Mechanical/Fire Suppression Systems) are planned and executed to the best interest of the business.
· Responsible for Asset and Inventory management.
· Develop and maintain method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation.
· Ensure standardization and consistency with best-in-class operating practices. (Technical Writing Skills and Automation)
· Develop and deliver the regular engineering reports and ensure adherence to contracted deliverables including SLA’s and KPI’s.
· Providing hands on facility support where required (e.g. installation of new equipment, decommissioning of equipment, replacement of faulty equipment, internal audits…etc.)
· Oversee technical compliance auditing and the effective and timely close out of corrective action plans.
Incident and Emergency Response:
o Managing information flow during incidents while providing regular updates to management.
o Reviewing incident reports, documenting periodic trend summaries, and providing updates and recommended actions to management.
A day in the life
You'll be a part of team for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, switchgear, Gensets, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
• Operate & Maintain mechanical/electrical/fire fighting equipment.
• Utilize internal tools and portals to manage Data Center work flows including change management
• Daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical infrastructure equipment
• Respond and manage equipment failure incidents
• Troubleshoot and assist root cause analysis of equipment failures

·At least two years of Data Center operations experience and on-call support for Data Center facilities.
·Degree in Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial)or relevant technical diploma (military/trade school) degree
·An excellent understanding on the nature of mission critical systems (Data Centers, Hospitals, Power plants, military facilities, etc.).
