Department profile:
Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (WM) is a product of the acquisition of Smith Barney from Citigroup, which was completed in June â13. Its core client base is individual investors, small- to medium-size businesses and institutions, and high net worth families and individuals.

In the second half, WM reached a milestone, with its business having surpassed $2 trillion in total client assets.

The Analytics and Data Technology department is a horizontal within the broader Global Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley. The department focuses on providing cutting edge data and information management solutions, including strategic insights for Financial Advisors and other functional groups within the firm. The ADT group delivers integrated enterprise data domains and seamless information flows to present information as a strategic asset.

Position Overview:

The candidate would play developer role in Wealth Management Analytics and Data technology team. ADT team is seeking a developer to join and take responsibility to deliver strategy CMS solution for Digital Marketing.

The candidate will play a hands-on technical developer role in the execution of multiple strategic projects.

Required Experience: 3 - 5 Years.

Skill Set: Java

Primary skills

- Strong proficiency in Java and related toolchain technologies.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and software development tools: version control (such as Git), issue trackers (such as Jira).

- Familiarity with build tools such as: Ant, Maven, and Gradle

- Experience with testing, debugging, and deploying code to multiple environments.

- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance for Web applications.

- Experience developing and maintaining Web services (SOAP/REST) and Web service frameworks such as: Spring, Apache CXF.

- Experience with commonly used Unix command line tools.

- Familiarity with front-end Web technologies including: HTML5, CSS, JS and jQuery.

- Experience working in an Agile development environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain applications, and Web services.

- Write clear, readable, and well-documented code.

- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and application reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features.
