About the Role:

As a member of the Engineering team within the Assessment Solutions business, the candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our technical assessment platform. The primary focus will be on building robust quality assurance processes, enhancing existing testing frameworks, and driving improvements in platform functionality and user experience. The role involves actively identifying and addressing quality gaps, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a superior and dependable product.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web-based applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

Living a KPI based evaluation for the QA-Team to prove the high level of delivered quality.

Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues and improve product quality.

Perform thorough regression testing, system integration testing, and feature testing to validate new features and detect potential breaking points.

Enhancing the current test automation by introducing AI support into the QA workflow processes.

Maintain and update QA documentation, including test scenarios, test results, and quality metrics, to support transparency and continual improvement.

Ensure adherence to QA methodologies, organizational best practices, and industry standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize testing activities and deliverables, managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Champion quality and accessibility, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to enhance usability, accessibility, and compliance with web standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

5-6 years of proven work experience in a Quality Assurance role.

Proven experience in international team management, especially across India and German colleagues.

Experience in web applications testing and a good understanding of critical breaking points of an application.

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience in documentation of test tasks and findings.

Experience in identifying test scenarios and writing test cases.

Excellent personal strength in attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem solving.

Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.

Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of web standards and technologies including accessibility compliance (WCAG).

Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.

Knowledge of QA frameworks. Methodologies and KPI’s.

Experience with automated pipeline-based testing tools, ideally playwright, including familiarity with CI/CD tools and the integration of automated tests into development workflows in Azure DevOps

Open minded towards and striving to utilize AI; at least first experience in utilizing AI for testing, either in test case creation, test execution or test result evaluation is a great advantage

Being interested in ‘Security testing’ is an advantage

ITIL certification is an advantage
