About the Opportunity:

Value Added Services (VAS) team (Also popularly known as Amazon Home Services (AHS) in Hyderabad, India is building a WW Services platform which enables Amazon to seamlessly integrate professional services (including home improvement, installation, maintenance, and lifestyle services) with product purchases. We're building a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that connects qualified service professionals with customers while maintaining the highest standards of trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and engineering teams
Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and scalable platforms
Experience with marketplace, fulfillment, or on-demand service platforms

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a team of talented engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for our fulfillment execution systems
• Collaborate across business and engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions
• Establish engineering best practices and development standards
• Balance technical trade-offs between scalability, performance, and user experience
• Provide technical mentorship and guide architectural decisions
• Manage team priorities, goals, and stakeholder relationships

What You'll Do:
• Architect and develop robust, scalable systems that power our service marketplace
• Lead technical design reviews and provide strategic guidance on system integration
• Define and implement technical strategies that align with business objectives
• Foster engineering excellence through mentorship and knowledge sharing
• Drive operational excellence through effective devops processes- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
