Job Description

Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax regulations, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for a portfolio of Google entities in India.
Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning.
Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors and regional accountants.
Articulate risks of your area to management and make recommendations for improvement.
Perform regular in-depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of local books and records.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in finance or treasury, working on cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SQL and in spreadsheet software with the knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to handle workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
Ability to assist with well-defined tasks within a project, manage time, and follow work plans.
Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate with executive management.
