Job Description

Pega Developer with FHIR Expertise
Pega Developer with expertise in FHIR to contribute for developing healthcare solutions leveraging Pega's BPM (Business Process Management) capabilities and the FHIR standard. In this role, he/she will be work on building, implementing, and enhancing healthcare applications that require interoperability across healthcare systems and data sources.
Design, develop, and implement solutions on the Pega platform for healthcare clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FHIR APIs and ensure smooth data exchange between healthcare systems.
Work on FHIR-compliant data models and data exchange patterns, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards (HL7, ICD, SNOMED, etc.).
Build healthcare-specific features on Pega, such as patient records, appointment scheduling, insurance claims processing, and more, by utilizing FHIR resources (e.g., Patient, Practitioner, Encounter, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the integration of FHIR-based data into Pega applications.
Write and maintain documentation related to Pega applications, data structures, and API integrations.
Participate in FHIR-related training and seminars to stay updated with the latest standards and best practices.
Ensure that applications are scalable, maintainable, and comply with industry regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).
Strong experience in Pega platform development (Pega 7.x or later), including case management,
In-depth understanding of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) and its application in healthcare data exchange.
Proficiency in integrating third-party FHIR APIs into enterprise applications.
Experience with healthcare systems and data models, including HL7, ICD-10, SNOMED CT, and CPT codes.
Solid experience in developing solutions that meet HIPAA compliance and other healthcare regulations.
Familiarity with Pega Healthcare accelerators is a plus.
Strong knowledge of RESTful web services, JSON, and XML.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Experience with FHIR-based data models and transformations.
Familiarity with Pega Decisioning and Pega Marketing for healthcare solutions.
Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for hosting Pega and healthcare data applications.
Certifications: Pega Certified System Architect (CSA), Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA), or any relevant FHIR or healthcare certification
