Python Developer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop standalone/web applications using open source Python/C libraries.
Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Improve team efficiency with productivity process improvement ideas.
Define innovative strategies and drive implementation.
Create high-standard SAS/Python code with proper documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
4-6 years of experience in Python application development.
Knowledge of financial and insurance industries.
Experience with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, and Bottle.
Strong understanding of OO MVT design principles, RESTful APIs, and caching concepts.
Ability to write reliable, testable code with minimum supervision.
Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and statistical database languages.
Understanding of web architecture, HTTP protocol, and data handling.
Additional Skills:
Experience in UI/Web development using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Vue.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and contribution to open source projects.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
Knowledge of core Python libraries and data frameworks like Pandas and PySpark.
Ability to work using an agile approach and handle ambiguous requirements.
Desired Skills:
Hands-on experience in Linux shell scripting.
Good understanding of at least one SQL or NoSQL datastore.
Experience with UI automation, manual testing, and web testing tools.
Knowledge of NLTK, Scikit, and NumPy would be advantageous.
