About the Role

The Senior Developer will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, and testing diverse features of Airtel Payments Bank agile stream. Payments bank values software engineers who are motivated, creative, passionate and positive. You must be comfortable working closely with others and have solid communication skills. Software engineers who learn quickly and have strong technical skills will thrive at Airtel Payments Bank. You must have considerable experience with object-oriented programming and should be familiar with design patterns, data structures, database and other staples of practical software development

Key Responsibilities

Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
Provide third-level support to business users. Research and evaluate a variety of software products.
Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support.
Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements.
Mentors and oversees development of resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews.
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
Develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance

Experience & Skills

Skills Required:

Proficient in at least one of the object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, Ruby

Knowledge of No-SQL Database technologies, Caching data stores, Queuing systems and Search technologies.

Experience with version control tools (SVN or Git)

Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals object oriented design, data structures, algorithm - design, and complexity analysis

Excellent problem-solving skills

Good with the Design patterns and architecture solution to large scale applications.

Hands on experience on building highly-available, scalable systems

Qualification: Technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)
