Job Description

Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server and related ISV products (e.g., CTG, CAFC, File Manager, Fault Analyzer, z/OS Debugger, Sysview).
Apply RSU maintenance and PTFs for CICS and associated tools.
Support and maintain over 240+ customized COBOL/Assembler programs.
Assist development teams with installation and updates of CICS Web Services components.
Regenerate bind files, WSDLs, copybooks, and wsbind files for web services.
Perform RDO (Resource Definition Online) operations and manage CICS region configurations.
Configure and tune SYSVIEW parameters and thresholds.

Primary Skills

Strong knowledge of CICS TS, CICSplex, and CICS Transaction Gateway
Proficiency in COBOL, Assembler, VSAM, JCL
Experience with CA-Top Secret / RACF for security administration
Hands-on expertise with tools: CAFC, File Manager, Fault Analyzer, z/OS Debugger, Sysview, BMS/TS CICS, Assist/TS CICS, CA Verify
In-depth understanding of CICS Web Services and RDO
Proficient in dump analysis using IPCS and Fault Analyzer
Working knowledge of MQ, DB2, Adabas

Secondary Skills

Basic z/OS System Programming knowledge
Experience in software lifecycle management for middleware components
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
Proactive problem-solving and performance tuning mindset
