Your Role

As a CPRS Presales Solution Architect, you will be instrumental in designing technology solutions that address client challenges in the CPRS domain. You’ll work closely with sales and delivery teams to shape proposals, contribute to solutioning, and support clients in adopting innovative, value-driven technologies.

In this role, you will:

· Collaborate with account teams to understand client challenges and propose relevant technology solutions.

· Contribute to solution architecture for retail, supply chain, and consumer product applications.

· Support presales activities including RFP responses, presentations, and workshops.

· Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements through technology enhancements.

· Assist in shaping solutions that align with client business goals and growth priorities.

· Work with senior architects and domain experts to refine offerings and improve win rates.

· Stay current with trends in cloud, AI, and other CPG/Retail technologies to bring fresh ideas to client conversations.

· Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building initiatives.

Job Description

Understanding Pre-Silicon Validation for DDR4/LPDDR4/LPDDR5
• Pre-silicon validation means verifying design and firmware before the silicon chip is fabricated. It includes simulations, emulation, and formal verification to catch bugs early.
• For DDR memory interfaces (DDR4, LPDDR4, LPDDR5), pre-silicon validation focuses on:
o Protocol compliance (timing, command sequences, training sequences)
o Signal integrity modeling and timing margins
o Firmware interactions (training firmware, calibration sequences)
o Power management features (especially for LPDDR5 with deeper power states)

2. Key Tasks in Pre-Silicon Validation of DDR Firmware
• Simulation & Emulation
Using hardware description languages (HDL) and simulators (like Synopsys VCS, Cadence Incisive) for DDR PHY and controller.
• Firmware Debugging & understanding of the firmware algorithms
Writing and testing memory training and calibration firmware:
o Write leveling
o Read leveling
o DQ/DQS delay adjustments
o ZQ calibration
o VREF calibration
• Testbench Development
Creating verification environments that simulate DDR traffic, inject errors, and validate response.
• Protocol Checks
Ensuring DDR commands follow JEDEC standards (DDR4/LPDDR4/LPDDR5 specs).
• Power Management Validation
Especially critical for LPDDR5 — validate low power states, self-refresh, deep power down modes.
• Integration with SoC Firmware
Ensuring smooth handoff between firmware and DDR controller.

Job Description - Grade Specific

3. Skills for 4-5 Years Firmware Experience
• Proficient in C for low-level firmware
• Experience with hardware simulators and emulators
• Understanding DDR PHY/controller architecture and JEDEC DDR standards
• Familiarity with DDR training algorithms and calibration routines
• Debugging skills using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and simulation waveforms
• Version control and collaborative development (Git, Gerrit)
• Good knowledge of memory controller registers and MMIO access
• Basic scripting skills (Python, Perl) for automation and testbench generation
