We’re seeking someone to join our team as a KBS Testing (Key Business Service) Testing in our global team to meet the growing focus globally on KBS (Key Business Service) application testing. This role is key to a wider testing program which helps reduce risk and improve overall resilience.

Fleet profile: RTEP: Resilience Technical testing and Exercise program

The RTEP Recovery Testing program is responsible for establishing testing frameworks and partnering with technology stakeholders to execute testing and exercise events to validate recovery capability and resilience across all of technology. RTEP is part of the wider Firm Resilience department, which deliver programs in Key business systems Resilience, Business Continuity and Third Party Resilience. Our team is part of the Morgan Stanley Firm Resilience organization, with focus on testing exercises related to application recovery scenarios. Using Agile methodologies our team plans and executes testing exercises to assess recovery capabilities of application. Testing scenarios involve but not limited to data corruption, cyber, software issues. Our team is also responsible for maintaining an in-house lab to facilitate testing in a way that ensures data security and no production impact.

This is Key Business Service Testing position at Director Level, which is part of the job family responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure operational continuity and resilience in the face of potential threats or disruptions that could impact the organization, plus management of ongoing incidents.

As a member of this global team, a successful candidate will be partnering with business and application teams, database administrators and infrastructure teams in a dynamic, challenging cross-divisional program based on the Agile methodologies. They will also be responsible for supporting and implementing enhancements to the existing lab infrastructure.

What you'll do in the role:

Work with team to develop various chaos scenarios which will then be tested
Work with Tech teams to understand how best to construct and implement the chaos test based on the developed scenario
Work with wider Firm Resilience and technology teams to review and enhance resilience
Work with teams to develop enhancements that can help uncover resilience issues proactively.
Work with tools to develop enhancements for resilience testing automation
Communication Skills:
Excellent Writing skills: Needs to write and review Test documents
Strong knowledge of collaboration tooling: Jive, teams etc.
Excellent Verbal skills: Need to communicate effectively with a wide range of technical and business teams

What you'll bring to the role:

Strong background in technology. Distributive application, and Database is optimal
Knowledge/understanding of Cloud based data structures (snowflake, MongoAtlas)
Knowledge of Cloud Architecture, specifically AWS and Azure.
Strong knowledge of key infrastructure components, identity management, data storage, backups, networks, data centres
Scripting knowledge: Ansible, Python
Awareness of AI and implementation of AI for automation
