Job Description

We are looking for a high energy and experienced software engineer to take our governance product offering to the next level in the cloud. Governance as a word does not sound all that interesting, but be assured, the concepts behind it are some of the largest unsolved problems in the industry. With challenges around privacy regulation and insider threat increasing weekly, the importance of AI based access control, reviews, automation and other advanced techniques in this area become incredibly obvious. If your interest is triggered by terms like cloud, containerization, full-stack etc. and like the opportunity to lead, design, implement and deliver with a degree of independence, you are probably the person we want to talk to!

The successful candidate:

6 + years of experience developing software, with passion to design and develop cutting edge user centric experience for Enterprise Applications. Prior experience/exposure in Identity and Access Management is a plus.
Wear multiple hats. We enjoy the prototyping and tinkering stages, as well as the rigor of making solutions production-ready.
You will work hand-in-hand with Machine Learning and NLP research scientists to come up with novel solutions to build the next generation governance product.

Basic Qualifications

Experience developing web-based user interfaces and administrator consoles
At least 4-6 years of experience in JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, Angular JS, BootstrapJS, TypeScript, NodeJS, or Oracle JET – OJET. Fluent in CSS3, and strong HTML5, JSON experience.
Experience integrating components with external, SOAP, and REST web services
Experience with unit and automation test frameworks such as JEST, Cypress, etc.
Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and Automated Testing
Understanding of serverless functions, service mesh
Knowledge of authentication and authorization using Oauth2 and other security standards.
Strong communication and personal skills: work swell with members of other functional groups in a project team; demonstrate a strong sense of project ownership
Programming experience with Java, including object-oriented design
4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. Demonstrated knowledge of the latest interaction design patterns and trends
Possess a sound understanding of the basic areas of Computer Science and Engineering such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Computer Architecture

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrates expert knowledge in area of responsibility, and knowledge of customer needs and expectations regarding the software
Communicates with Product Managers, Lead customers, and understands the value products provide to the target market segment. Applies knowledge and expertise in leading and executing creation of a differentiated User experience. Assists in leading and creating strategies to stay ahead of competitor, regulatory and other threats and capitalize on opportunities
Assists in leading customer councils, related to area of responsibility, to learn their unique characteristics, uncover unmet needs and stay current on the trends
Good grasp of cloud development concepts like micro-services, cloud hosts, distributed storage
Experience setting up and/or maintaining automated build systems
Experience with version control/Code-Review tools like GitHub etc.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Strong communication and personal skills: work well with members of other functional groups in a project team; demonstrate a strong sense of project ownership
Good understanding of Agile software development principles including using common tools such as JIRA

Familiarity

Cloud based development in OCI/Openstack/AWS
Linux/Windows/macOS operating systems along with virtualization
Oracle OVM virtualization technologies and exposure to Cloud configuration tools
Application servers such as Weblogic, Apache TOMCAT

Education

A Computer Science degree is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
