Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a world leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the US Transaction Management Group. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active, and self-motivated person to assist the team in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities for this role would involve providing transactional support to US TMG team in relation to structured products (e.g., notes, certificates, or warrants) issued by a Morgan Stanley entity in relation to the following:

Dealing with trade approvals using various systems and applications. Manage notifications, upload, and update online portals with information.
Managing the various steps of the trade flow, including coordinating with sales, trading, and others in the US TMG team, to ensure trades are sent out for settlement in a timely manner.
Dealing with document requests and documentation reconciliation.
Working closely with Sales, Trading, the COO team, and Operations on matters relating to the structured products business.
Managing documentation such as Final Terms and Pricing Supplements.
Assisting with post trade related matters, for example, performing trade reviews
Work on preparing and collating data for regular reports and data submissions related to payments and management reporting.
Assisting with operations-related matters and other adhoc and regular requests. Responding to trade related queries in a timely manner.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in relation to all the above.

Skills required (essential)

MBA/Bachelors with 4+ years of experience in derivatives. Structured products experience is preferred.
Candidates should have excellent attention to detail.
Candidates must have worked in a fast-paced environment and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in English is a must.
Candidates must be organised, pro-active and be able to multi-task.
Proficiency in Excel required.
