Overview:
Salesloft is seeking a skilled and reliable contractor, provided via Bounteous, to serve as a
Value Engineer within our Scaled Value Center of Excellence (COE). This role bridges the
critical "Value Gap" by providing back-office production support to Account Executives (AEs),
Account Managers/Directors (AM/ADs) and Customer Success Managers (CSMs). The ideal
candidate will be highly organized, analytically minded, and capable of executing high-volume
asset creation using financial modeling and AI-powered tools.
This role focuses on democratizing value engineering—standardizing and scaling the delivery of
business cases, KPI trackers, and value realization assets across the entire customer lifecycle.
It is a production-focused position responsible for delivering "80% complete" drafts that field
teams can finalize and present.
Core Responsibilities
1. Aligning Value: BVA & POV Production – 30%
● Draft initial Business Value Assessments (BVAs) and Point of View (POV) decks for
prospective opportunities.
● Execute the "Virtual Value Engineer" workflow to produce preliminary business cases
based on discovery data.
● Hand off 80% complete drafts to Account Executives for final customization and
presentation.
● Ensure all pre-sales value assets align with standard financial models and templates.
2. Implementing Value: KPI & Benefit Tracking – 10%
● Construct KPI trackers following deal closure.
● Ensure post-sale metrics are strictly aligned to the strategic targets defined in the
pre-sales BVA.
● Validate data inputs to ensure the customer’s strategic goals are measurable and
trackable from day one.
● Hand off tracking tools to CSMs for ongoing management.
3. Measuring Value: QBR & EBR Asset Preparation – 50%
● Build Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Executive Business Review (EBR)
presentations for Salesloft customers
● Use the “Virtual CSM” AI tool to create strategic, executive-level content within templated
slide frameworks.
● Aggregate usage and performance data in Salesloft’s Value Realization calculators
(Google Sheets, Looker, and Snowflake) to calculate ROI, performance against
benchmarks, and suggested upcoming focus KPIs.
● Hand off 80% complete drafts to customer success managers (CSMs) for final
customization and presentation.
4. Communicating Value: Realization & Expansion Assets – 10%
● Draft "Value Realization" one-pagers that proactively communicate ROI prior to renewal
discussions.
● Generate expansion prospecting assets based on proven success metrics and EBR
findings to support cross-sell efforts.
Platform-Specific Responsibilities
Generative AI & Asset Acceleration
● Utilize approved generative AI tools to accelerate the drafting of value narratives and
executive summaries.
● Master prompt engineering to standardize the output of qualitative value stories.
● Maintain the quality and accuracy of AI-generated content before internal handoff.
Salesforce & Salesloft Data Management
● Extract and validate Salesloft data to inform financial models, verify usage metrics, and
identify adoption trends.
● Ensure all produced assets are properly logged and tracked within the system of record,
Salesforce, for reporting purposes.
Clari & Revenue Leak Assessments
● Analyze customer data within Clari to identify potential revenue leak and improvement
areas.
● Construct "Combined Value Stories" that quantify the impact of the Salesloft + Clari
platform integration.
● Utilize Clari reporting to substantiate business cases and value realization claims.
Required Skills
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
● Proficiency in Google Slides/Docs (creating professional, client-ready presentations).
● Strong Business Financial Acumen (understanding of ROI, TCO, Net Present Value,
and general SaaS metrics).
● Excellent written communication skills with the ability to synthesize data into a clear
narrative.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, SLA-driven production environment.
Experience Required
● 2-4 years in Value Engineering, Sales Operations, Management Consulting, or Financial
Analysis.
● Experience building business cases or financial models for B2B technology.
● Familiarity with SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Clari, and Salesloft experience is a strong
plus).
● Proven ability to work cross-functionally and deliver high-quality work without direct client
interaction.
