Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tosca Test Engineer with 5 to 15 years of experience in software testing, specializing in test automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. This role demands expertise in Tosca test automation tools, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation: Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Tosca. Focus on functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure quality and efficiency in testing processes.
Test Planning: Collaborate with the testing team to plan test strategies, scope, and approach for various software applications.
Test Execution: Execute automated test cases and analyze test results, ensuring that issues are documented, reported, and resolved.
Test Reporting: Generate and maintain test execution reports, status reports, and defect reports for stakeholders.
Test Frameworks: Develop and maintain reusable test frameworks, libraries, and components to streamline the test automation process.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Tosca testers and other team members on best practices in test automation.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure test coverage.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, propose solutions, and help implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Tosca Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Tosca test automation tool, including scripting, test execution, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
Test Automation Experience: Proven experience in automating functional, regression, and integration tests for complex software systems.
Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Python, or VBScript for automation scripting.
Testing Methodologies: Experience with various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps) and the ability to adapt test strategies to different development environments.
Defect Management: Familiarity with defect management tools like JIRA, Quality Center, or similar, for tracking and resolving defects.
CI/CD Tools: Experience integrating Tosca with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex software systems, identify issues, and provide solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and report testing progress to stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to find root causes of issues in both test automation scripts and application behavior.
Desired Skills:
Agile Experience: Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Database Testing: Experience in database testing (SQL) for backend validation.
Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter) is a plus.
Certifications: Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Tosca-specific certifications are desirable.
