Profile Description:

The IM Technology team partners with Investment Management businesses to develop and implement innovative data-driven solutions. The team is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of investment data across the enterprise.

In the Investment Management division, we deliver active investment strategies across public and private markets and custom solutions to institutional and individual investors.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead who can provide technical leadership and guidance to the team of engineers, while also being hands-on with Java/Python, SQL, and designing and architecting solutions to IM Private Alternatives business. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, expertise in one programming language along with good understanding data, a collaborative leader, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do in the role:

Technical Leadership: Guide the team in best practices for coding, architecture, and design. Review code and ensure high-quality standards.
Hands-on Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust applications using Java, Python, and SQL.
Team Management: Mentor and lead a team of engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally. Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
Project Oversight: Drive end-to-end delivery of technical solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Architecture & Design: Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies to scale and improve system performance.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.

What you’ll bring to the role:

10+ years of professional experience in software development.
Expertise in Java/Python, and SQL.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing complex queries.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
