Java Developer - Vice President - Software Engineering

Profile Description

We’re seeking for a Java developer you'll be involved in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications using emerging technology choices.

Institutional Securities Technology

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.

Tedra

Develops trading & Analytics platform for IST, structured OTC Trading, Market Making & risk platform for IED

Software Engineering

This is a senior developer position for Onboarding and Regulatory platform. You are required to be a technologist with solid command on distributed development tools and tech-stack - primarily Java and Java based web-development, angular, databases, frameworks for enterprise system development, enterprise integration patterns, cloud focused architecture and tools.

What you’ll do in the role:

1.Working in a globally distributed team of developers, traders and strats
2.Will be involved in the full software development lifecycle from understanding requirements, formulating designs, developing, and deploying the changes.
3.Building out of new GUIs, enhancing the existing platform to improve user-experience as well as troubleshooting performance challenges with high volume streaming data handling.

What you’ll bring to the role:

1.Minimum 10+ Years of overall experience. and the desire to learn new ones.
2.Experience of building complex user interface using a variety of components and frameworks
3.Experience of developing and optimizing demanding message driven GUIs managing very high update rates
4.Strong troubleshooting abilities.
5.Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Kafka Framework.
6. Ability to write scripts in Shell/Python.
7. Work independently following proper coding standards
8. Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
9.Continuously assess and improve performance and efficiency of the application.
10. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
