MS Investment Management Technology (IMIT)
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.

Opportunity with the team
Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced full stack developer to join the Fixed Income Technology team. The individual will work as part of the global development team. The individual will help the team design, develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams. As a backend developer, the individual will also work closely with the Business and design strategic solutions to offer optimized solutions.

We work with the following technologies:
Must have:
1. Backend technologies - Core Java / Spring Boot
2. Python / FAST / Flask API
3. Relational Database

Good to Have:
1. Frontend technologies - Angular / React
2. Linux / Cloud Stack / Docker / Kubernetes
3. Build tooling - Jenkins / Gradle
4. Database technologies -NoSQL MongoDB / Snowflake

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing modern and modular applications using modern coding and testing standards.
2. Actively participating in our agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the team's goals.
3. Working diligently using modern software development practices.
4. Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists.
5. Leading with ideas and innovation.
6. Managing communication and partnering with our end users to design solutions.

Competencies:
- At least 2 years of experience developing enterprise JAVA Web applications.
o Experience writing unit, component and integration tests.
o Experience working with relational database.
- Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience working with Python
- Basic understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments with a focus on Equities.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
