Job Description

Recruit engineers to join the team, mentor them as they onboard, and help them manage their careers.
Work with product management and other Technical Leads to develop technical roadmaps.
Prototype, develop, and deploy new spatial measurement technologies, to figure out how Google's spaces are being used.
Own highly scalable distributed systems for measuring, storing, serving and rendering spatial analytics.
Work cross-organizationally and cross-functionally to deliver mission-critical impact across every campus.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Experience in distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience in full-stack development.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Spatial analytics for Google's buildings and data centers. This team builds technology to measure, analyze, and operate Google's massive and global physical plant. This is an opportunity to influence nextgen building configurations to maximize Googler productivity and spatial efficiency.

The team will evaluate, develop and deliver technologies for measuring, storing, analyzing and presenting signals for presence in Google's buildings. These signals will produce metrics used by other tools for planning and operations.
